Stray Racer

A racer who has lost the way. Direction is gone, but he does not stop. Speed still pushes him forward, and on the road he has lost, he discovers a new version of himself. The Stray Racer series captures the journey of wandering and self-discovery experienced by a being without a destination. A racer driving without a map or compass symbolizes the anxiety and confusion of modern individuals. Yet what is discovered within that wandering is not fear, but the true face of the self. The thick texture of mixed media and dynamic brushwork express the liberated energy within being lost, while the fragmented form of the automobile visualizes the ongoing process of identity through deconstruction and reconstruction.
