I place the car in front of me and speak. Competition and success, failure, rage, identity, dreams — in the place where form collapses and rises again on the canvas, there is the condensed true self that lives inside every one of us. My paintings do not console. And yet, for someone, they become strength.
Technique is made to seep into the painting. Pushing paint with a squeegee, I may at any moment pick up a brush, sew in thread, or attach an object — there are no rules about material. This is my official archive: the works, my notes, and the essay series ⟨Reading MINSEOK⟩ accumulate here.
